A WSL participant provided this information to WUDi a few years ago, so please be aware that some of the prices and times may have changes slightly. It would be best to double check the actual schedules. And if you do find that some of the information posted here is incorrect, please let us know and we will update the site.

How to get from Manhattan to Purchase for about $10.

At 5:27 p.m. take the Harlem line express from Grand Central Station to Chappaqua. Get off at the White Plains stop. Go down the stairs and make a left to get to the buses, and then take the 12 bus to SUNY Purchase. When you get off the bus, turn right and go in the direction the bus came from. The fields are about half a mile, on your left.

Peak one-way fare is $8.00 for the train. Bus fare is $1.75, although the train conductor said an inexpensive bus transfer could be purchased at a ticket window in Grand Central.

The 47th St. entrance has an ATM like machine that sells tickets for cash. It takes credit and debit cards as well. It doesn't take $20 bills unless you buy more than $10 of tickets. It does not sell transfers. Other entrances north of Grand Central are similar.
