About Spring League
WUDi's Spring Leagues consists of two leagues: 5v5 Outdoor League and a Women's League. Both leagues play at SUNY Purchase in Purchase, NY. Each league will play once per week for the month directly before our summer leagues start.
The 5v5 Outdoor League is co-ed competitive league that attracts players of every level, from college players to Nationals-level club players.
The Women's League is aimed at women and non-binary players who choose to defend against women. Brand new players and advanced players are all welcome. This league will focus on skill development as well as community DOW (Defender of Women) only play.
Both of the above leagues are open to adult players - 18 years or older
5v5 Outdoor League

Our 5v5 Outdoor League is on Monday nights starting in late April. It will run for 4 weeks directly before our summer season starts. This is a great opportunity to transition to outdoor ultimate while still playing in a 5v5 setting like our indoor leagues. And for those of you playing club, it is a great place to get those extra reps!
Team rosters will be selected by the coordinators to ensure that teams are even. Volunteer team captains will be chosen for each team.
SPECIAL FOR THIS LEAGUE - You are able to baggage with one person of your choosing. No restrictions as to who that person is. The baggage does need to be reciprocal though (as in A must request baggage for B and B must request baggage for A to be done)
5v5 outdoor league games are held at SUNY Purchase in Westchester County, NY on Monday evenings, starting at 6:00 p.m. Each night teams will have two 40 minute games. The final night of the league will be semi-finals and finals games.
Women's League

Our Women's League is meant as a community event to bring together all DOW players. We use the term DOW (Defender of Women) to be inclusive of women and non-binary players who choose to defend against women. We welcome brand new players as well as advanced players to this league.
Each week will have a short skill focus. In that skill focus there will be a beginner section as well as an advanced section so players can work on skills as the level that is most appropriate and helpful to them. After the short skill focus, we will break into teams to scrimmage for the remaining time. Each week the scrimmage teams will change. This is meant to prioritize community and allow players to be able to play with different people throughout the league.
Games for DOW League are also held at SUNY Purchase in Westchester County, NY on Wednesday evenings, starting at 6:00 p.m.
On the last night of the league, there will be DOW Community BBQ after we are done playing.
